Dodry is a Korean Chamber Orchestra established"

in Gwangju, an old town of art and culture of Korea in

1998. We study traditional Korean music along with rhythm

and form of Western music to develop new music in various

forms. We compose and arrange nursery rhymes in Korean

music to play them for children, and devote ourselves

to play new pieces along with local creative musicians.

  We are taking researches and efforts in various possible

ways to make Korean music popular, with hope that

any music lover could easily experience and appreciate

traditional Korean music. We would like to promote

creative work of local Korean musicians, and lay a local

ground to introduce new pieces describing the cultural

spirit of Gwangju and lead local Korean music ahead

of capital-centered culture.
